THAT barn mom

ABOUT ++

Hi, I am Cynthia,

Cynthia - That Barn Mom

From the earliest days, I recognized my daughter’s passion for performance and horses. As a toddler, she would captivate family and friends with her natural charisma, and her love for horses became evident from the moment she first laid eyes on them.

I wholeheartedly supported my daughter’s dual pursuits, navigating the delicate balance between auditions, rehearsals, and riding lessons. Through countless hours of driving to and from the theater and the stable, I witnessed her unwavering dedication and determination firsthand.

As a mother doing all this for the first time, I had countless hours researching everything from horse tack to filming equipment. I quickly learned that being a barn mom is a full-time job on top of everything else life throws at you. Between early morning barn chores, weekend horse shows, and keeping up with all the gear your rider needs, it can feel overwhelming — especially when you are just starting out and have no idea where to begin.

That is exactly why I created this blog. I know what it feels like to sit in the barn parking lot googling “what does my horse kid actually need” at 10pm. I know the stress of trying to figure out the right tack, the right boots, the right feed — on a real mom budget. And I know how much easier it would have been if another barn mom had just handed me a roadmap.

So that is what I want to be for you. Whether you are a brand new horse mom just figuring out the difference between English and Western, or a seasoned barn mom looking for better gear recommendations and real talk about this lifestyle — you are in the right place. My goal is to save you the hours of research I had to do, share honest product reviews, and remind you that you are not alone in this beautifully chaotic barn mom life.

Why did I create this blog? I wanted to share my experiences with you — helping you navigate through everything I have learned, so you can spend less time researching and more time enjoying the ride.

Welcome to the barn mom community. I am so glad you are here.
